Admissions
We accept admissions from many sources, including:
- Counsellors
- Social Workers
- Doctors
- Detoxes
- Hospitals
- Probation / Courts
- Community Health Clinics
- Self-referrals
A referral form must be completed and is available through the Central Addictions Intake Team (CAIT). This can be done with a community professional or in the case of a self-referral with the CAIT at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Andrew Stone is the contact person at CAIT, and can be reached at:

EMERGE is a “per diem” program.
The rate of per diem is $45 per day.
There are several ways that the fee can be paid. Firstly, persons with the ability to pay using their own funds, including Employment Insurance and the Canada Pension Plan will be required to. Persons without funds, if eligible, can apply to Social Assistance for funding. VCH offers an Accommodation Fee Subsidy (AFS) for individuals with extenuating circumstances. Andrew Stone can be approached about accessing AFS.
Clients must arrive with a prescription for one week of their medications. In the case of an OAT or Opiate Agonist Therapy, such as methadose, suboxone or kadian, the prescription must specify “for daily delivery to CCL”.
As Emerge is a temporary residential facility, we ask individuals to limit the belongings they bring to 2 large suitcases.
